Project Description

Rebuild Florida's Housing Repair and Replacement Program assists low-income homeowners and landlords whose properties were damaged by Hurricane Irma. Priority in this program is given to households with seniors, individuals with special needs or special accommodations, including individuals with disabilities, and households with homeowners earning less than or equal to 80 percent of Area Median Income. Additionally, this program prioritized households with tenants displaced from Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands who permanently resettled in Florida.

The Florida Division of Economic Opportunity selected EXCEL to perform residential construction for dozes of damaged properties, including:

  • Repairs to, reconstruction or replacement of homes, including bringing the home into code compliance and providing resiliency for future storms;
  • Completion of work to homes that have been partially repaired; and
  • Repair or replacement of manufactured and mobile homes.
