EXCEL Beaumont marked notable project progress for the OCI N.V. Nitrogen facility by celebrating with the local site team. They recognized achievement in quality and safety at the OCI Beaumont project site. Dozens of employees and guests enjoyed an awards ceremony, dinner, and dancing the night away.
Significant civil, piping, and structural progress is underway, including formwork and rebar, backfilling, and preparations for seal slabs, steel erection, and bolting.
Vice President of Construction Kirk Johnson emphasized the event's significance: "Our goal has always been to empower our employees to take ownership in their roles and find their work rewarding."
The event reaffirms EXCEL Group's unwavering commitment to supporting employees to elevate partner success.
OCI N.V. and EXCEL Group have partnered to construct all elements of the new Beaumont facility. The construction of the new blue ammonia facility is slated for completion in early 2025. The effort, set to begin civil & and foundation works in February 2023, leads a world-scale initiative to reduce the energy carbon footprint. The facility will have a capacity of 1.1 MM tpy, with infrastructure designed to double capacity to 2.2 MM tpy in the future, supplying a whole value chain of blue ammonia transported to clients using new ammonia-fueled vessels to ensure a low carbon footprint.
