EXCEL Group has achieved the prestigious distinction of being an Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) for over 17+ years, a testament to its unwavering dedication to corporate responsibility. In 2023, only 525 of the nation's top merit shop construction contractors, including us, received this prestigious honor.
"Our team at EXCEL Group is deeply committed to upholding the highest standards in safety, education, and company culture," said Corey Audibert, Vice President of Safety and Risk Management. "This recognition is a reflection of our unwavering efforts to lead the industry with excellence and integrity."
The ABC’s AQC program, established over thirty years ago, acknowledges leading construction firms that demonstrate their commitment across five key areas:
To earn the AQC credential, member companies must demonstrate industry-leading health and safety standards, achieving Gold, Platinum, or Diamond levels in ABC’s STEP Safety Management System. Since 1989, STEP has provided contractors with a comprehensive framework for safety benchmarking, resulting in incident rates nearly six times safer than the industry average, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Reaccredited annually, AQC members pledge: “As an Accredited Quality Contractor, our company is dedicated to delivering top-quality construction services. We prioritize the well-being of our employees and the communities we serve, embracing the principles of free enterprise. We commit to community service and equipping our workforce with the skills necessary to safely and effectively meet client needs.”
About ABC: Associated Builders and Contractors is a national trade association representing over 23,000 members. Established in 1950 and founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABC and its 68 chapters are dedicated to helping members develop their workforce, secure projects, and deliver work safely, ethically, and profitably to benefit communities nationwide.
