When you meet Kyle Munn, you immediately sense that he’s someone who brings both grit and intention to the job. With a wealth of experience spanning two decades in industrial construction, a background in welding, and an MBA to round it out, Kyle doesn’t just know the work—he’s lived it from the ground up. His extensive experience is a testament to his competence and dedication.

Kyle's journey in construction began as a high school student, where he discovered his passion for welding in a shop class that offered a break from textbooks. This ignited a flame that has never dimmed. “Me and four guys were sponsored to go to ABC school,” he recalls. “That opened a lot of doors.” His career journey led him from the fabrication floor to global sulfuric acid maintenance work, a testament to his unwavering commitment to the trades.

Now, as Manager of Fabrication Services at EXCEL, Kyle's leadership style is a beacon of reassurance. “The trades under EXCEL’s umbrella are really impressive,” he says. “It’s rewarding to be part of such a diverse, experienced team.” His leadership style, rooted in communication, proactive problem-solving, and the belief that recognizing great work is just as important as flagging concerns, sets a positive tone for the company's direction. “If you see something, say something—whether it’s an issue or just a job well done.”

When asked about mentors, Kyle points to his uncle, a successful businessman in industrial services. “He worked his way up from the bottom. That always inspired me, starting from a laborer to leadership.”

Outside of work, Kyle is an outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing (he’s even been to Africa and Canada on trips), working out, and spending time with his family. And when it’s time to get pumped up for the day, his playlist reveals a bit about his personal philosophy. “Some days, I’m in the mood for Master P. Other times, it's AC/DC or old-school country—nothing new country,” he laughs. “Give me Thunderstruck or some George Strait.”

That mix of passion, tradition, and authenticity carries over to his work style. In many ways, Kyle’s music taste and values are the same: "old school"—in the best way. Focused, disciplined, and always ready to get the job done right.
