Project Scope

The project included the installation of approximately 3,200 linear feet of cable tray, pulling approximately 253,000 linear feet of cable, and installing around 35,000 feet of conduit. Throughout the project, EXCEL was tasked with additional work added almost daily, leading to change orders that nearly doubled the original scope, schedule, and budget.

Project Description

The P66 Lake Charles Bayou & GRP Project represents the pinnacle of specialty electrical and instrumentation work within the complex and demanding environment of the Lake Charles Refinery (LCR). Beginning in November 2022 and concluding in April 2024, this 16-month project was a comprehensive revamp of the Premium Coker Number 1 Unit. It was designed to enhance the refinery's capability to process various slurry feeds while significantly upgrading its electrical infrastructure. With a focus on precision and safety, EXCEL delivered exceptional results, meeting stringent deadlines and exceeding project expectations despite numerous challenges.

Cameron LNG

EXCEL provided E&I installation for Cameron LNG's Train 3. The project included 588,531 man-hours to install 34.5kv, 15kv, 5kv, 480v and UPS power distribution, instrument DCS and control systems, instrument and device installation and check-out.
